The fourth part of SMC³'s 2005 Educational Program, "Costing Today's Distribution Channel," will investigate how the principles of costing are applied to motor, rail and ocean transportation. The seminar will explore the distribution channel's key cost drivers affecting both sides of the shipper/carrier equation. The seminar, which is scheduled take place September 14-15 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Atlanta, will cover three main topics: cost accounting, motor carrier costing efficiencies, and global supply chain costing and tactics for controlling expenses.
