During the 2004 LPC Fall Meeting, industry experts will present the latest information on applying technology to claims processing and utilizing employee accountability programs to reduce claims costs. Compliance with in-bond customs procedures and Homeland Security regulations, the Carmack Amendment and air cargo liability will also be explored in great detail. To complement the expanding role of claims professionals, the Fall Meeting has been lengthened to two-and-a-half days. This provides time for more workshops, educational sessions and networking with North America’s leading claims and loss prevention experts. “The new breed of claims professionals needs to keep abreast of industry developments that influence their job responsibilities outside of the traditional realm of claims work,” LPC President Dwan Hughes, director of customer services, security and loss prevention, AAA Cooper Transportation, said.
