Job Detail   Back To Job Center | Related Jobs     Director, Supply Chain Logistics     11/12/2004     Company           Company Information   $1 Billion division of a leading manufacturer of durable consumer goods        Details   - Develop and recommend annual plans, objectives and budgets - Responsible for the forecasting, demand planning, inventory management and deployment of products - Coordinate the Sales and Operations Planning process by working collaboratively with sales, marketing, manufacturing operations planning, materials management and purchasing groups - Analyze, improve and monitor deployment, warehousing and inventory management initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality and meet customer needs - Develop and implement best practices in managing freight and transportation in conjunction with the Logistics Council - Responsible for day-to-day transportation services and support including optimization of shipping modes to reduce cost and meet customer needs - Support supply chain projects and programs within and across businesses - Provide guidance and management to assure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations - Responsible for lease management, including assets - Effectively utilize the Sourcing and Logistics Councils for leverage in purchasing         Requirements   - 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a world-class logistics environment - Minimum BS degree in a related discipline - Broad supply chain operational background with significant experience in contemporary supply chain techniques - Proven ability to develop and direct a top-tier supply chain logistics function - Proven track record of positively impacting a complex distribution system in a comprehensive manner - Strategic planning/vision - Strong negotiation/vendor management skills - Current knowledge of regulatory issues - Ability to recruit, motivate and develop people - Superior communication skills - Strong analytical competencies         Contact   Brian McKeever Vice President OConnor, OConnor, Lordi, Ltd. 707 Grant STreet Gulf Tower, Suite 2727 Pittsburgh, PA 15219 [email protected] - email (412) 261-4020 - phone (412) 261-4480 - fax http://www.oolltd.com                  © 2003-2005 NASSTRAC - Privacy Policy
