NASSTRAC Regional Meeting & Shipper Exploratory Discussion

Networking with other shippers. Hearing perspectives on emerging trends and challenges in transportation. Learning from best practices. These are key reasons to attend an upcoming NASSTRAC Shipper Regional Meeting in a city near you.

Each event features a networking lunch or reception where transportation executives connect with their peers, followed by a formal presentation on key findings in NASSTRAC's recent "Freight Transportation 2013: State of the Industry Report.” A panel of industry executives then will share their perspectives and explore ideas and solutions on the issues.

You'll benchmark your transportation and supply chain strategy against others, and learn from shippers in these areas:

  • Supply chain and business strategy. Companies continue to acknowledge the value in supply chain management. But how many have a long-term strategy and do they have transportation tied to their overall supply chain strategy?
  • Collaborative practices. How do companies successfully collaborate with other shippers and providers to gain efficiencies, and where are they finding the most gains?
  • Carrier selection. Discover the most important criteria to shippers and how they go about selecting their carrier partners.
  • Rates, capacity, and mode selection. With increasing rates and diminishing capacity, some shippers are changing their network, mode usage, and overall transportation strategy to deal with these issues head-on.
