  NASSTRAC Attracts Major Manufacturers, Retailers To 2012 Conference
   
  Transportation and supply chain executives find value in education, provider relations, networking
   
  Minneapolis, MN — NASSTRAC recently held its annual Shippers Conference & Transportation Expo April 29 – May 2, 2012, at the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando, Fla. The event was tailored for transportation, logistics and supply chain management professionals who want to learn and network with leading experts in the industry. NASSTRAC provides education, advocacy, provider relations, and solutions for professionals involved in all areas of transportation, ranging from full truckload and LTL to containerization and global logistics.

More than 450 transportation and supply chain executives participated from such major retailers, wholesalers and distributors as Advance Auto Parts, Aeropostale, Best Buy, Coach, CVS/Caremark, DSW, Faro Technologies, Floor & Decor, Gap, Hard Rock Cafe, HD Supply, Lowe's, and UniPro Foodservice. Scores of manufacturers already participated, including such leaders as AGFA Corp., Alcon Laboratories, Anixter, BASF, Casio, Charter Films, Domino Foods, InterfaceFLOR, Michelin, Moen, MOM Brands, NCH Corp., Owens Corning, Revlon Consumer Products, Scotts Miracle-Gro, SeaWorld Parks, Shaw Industries, ShurTech Brands, Taminco, Transnational Foods, TriMas, and Westlake Chemical, to name a few.

Topics ranged from shipper advocacy concerns, legislation and compliance requirements to the over-the-road trucking capacity and the economy. The conference also featured best practices from companies such as Dell Computer and Stein Mart.

The conference also featured an expo of service providers where attendees can find viable solutions. Featured providers in the logistics expo include truckload leaders such as Werner Enterprises, J.B. Hunt, and Celedon; LTL players such as Averitt, FedEx Freight, Old Dominion Freight Lines, UPS Freight, Pitt Ohio, YRC Worldwide, Benton Express, A. NASSTRAC will hold its 2013 Shippers Conference & Transportation Expo next April 21-24 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.
