  Pittsburgh, PA (February 13th, 2007) – On March 5th, 2007, PITT OHIO EXPRESS plans to expand their service area, covering the entire state of Michigan and Indiana. PITT OHIO EXPRESS services the entire Mid-Atlantic region, specializing in next day service from the Indianapolis commercial zone to Allentown, PA.

This Pittsburgh based firm plans to open its dock doors on Terminals 22 & 23 next month, and although President and CEO Charles Hammel III clearly has his eye on “the big picture”, his central focus remains with PITT OHIO’s foundation for success. “We exist to serve our customers and our future is dependent on their needs, says Hammel. Our attention to market research has indicated our current customer base is demanding more territory from us and as a result, we must increase our flexibility.”

Geoffrey Muessig, vice president of sales echoes Hammel’s comments and reiterates that PITT OHIO’S expansion ultimately benefits its customers, offering reliable, consistent transit times to help ease the flow of inventory through all points of contact. “PITT OHIO has always been a leader in next day service through the Mid-Atlantic region, but this move will help us to pioneer next day service from Indianapolis to the East Coast.”
