Supply Chain Disruption: What to Do When the Toilet Doesn’t Flush

Friday, November 4, 2016
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CDT

In the aftermath of Hurricane Mathew many of our members saw major disruptions in their manufacturing and transportation operations. At the recent CSCMP conference in a session titled: “Supply Chain Disruption: What to Do When the Toilet Doesn’t Flush”,  Mark Heinrich from Microsoft and Mike Regan from TranzAct shared the speaking duties and both did a great job impressing upon the audience the importance of responding to chaos and how they approached their decisions.

This month’s NASSTRAC View will help you answer the questions: “Are you prepared for when the sewers clog up and the toilets don’t flush?” How did you and your company fare in response to the Hanjin bankruptcy and Hurricane Mathew? Does the industry have the ground rules to deal with these situations or are most of us are making it up as we go along?

This month’s NASSTRAC View is moderated by Mike Regan of TranzAct Technologies and NASSTRAC Advocacy Chairman. An issue for shippers is the increasing fragility of the supply chain and its transportation providers in general. Reliability isn’t free and as shippers we need to be prepared to pay the price for quality.

Join us on Friday, November 4 as the NASSTRAC View tackles this important topic.
