Barnes

John L. Barnes, III, Managing Director, RBC Capital Markets Equity Research

John Barnes joined RBC Capital Markets Equity Research in June 2009 and covers the Airfreight/Surface Transportation sector, including railroad, truckload, and less-than-truckload carriers as well as freight forwarding, third-party logistics, and dedicated cargo/integrated parcel carriers. Prior to joining the firm, Barnes followed the industry as a senior analyst at BB&T Capital markets, Credit Suisse First Boston and at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., where he also covered the machinery industry. Barnes was recognized as the number four stock picker in heavy machinery and materials in the 2009 Wall Street Journal Best on the Street survey and the number three stock picker in road and rail in the Financial Times/Star Mine 2009 Annual survey.

John M. Cutler, Jr., McCarthy, Sweeney & Harkaway

John M. Cutler, Jr., a principal with McCarthy, Sweeney & Harkaway, has been General Counsel of NASSTRAC since 1999, when his partner, Dan Sweeney retired. Since graduating from Georgetown Law School in 1976, Cutler has been a specialist in transportation law, representing shippers before the ICC and STB, in federal and state courts, and in legislative proceedings. Cutler was active in defending shippers against undercharge claims during the the undercharge epidemic, and assists members and others with contract, bill of lading, claims, classification and other transportation law issues. He also represents shippers by rail, air and water.

Ben Hartford

Benjamin J. Hartford, CFA Senior Research Analyst

Ben Hartford is the senior equity research analyst for Baird's Transportation/Logistics team. Prior to joining Baird in 2005, he was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch and an intern at Smith Barney and Patton Fund Management. Ben graduated with a BS with honors in Finance and an MS in Accounting from Indiana University.

 

Bill Hutchinson

Bill Hutchinson, Vice President Global Logistics & Fulfillment, Dell

Bill Hutchinson is responsible for global finished goods fulfillment and logistics operations, remanufacturing operations, reverse logistics, logistics procurement, inbound logistics, network optimization and execution. Prior to joining Dell, hel served most recently as the Vice President of Logistics for Best Buy Corporation where he managed transportation procurement, planning, customs compliance and operations. Hutchinson also served as Vice President of Logistics at the Rite Aid Corporation, Director of Supply Chain for Commerx, and Senior Manager in the Supply Chain Strategy Practice of Accenture.
