Auburn, Washington. Henry Vander Pol, Long Time Owner and President of Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. until 1997, died at a local Hospital, February 29, of natural causes. He was 95.
Henry is survived by his wife, one (1) daughter, three (3) sons, eleven (11) grand children and seventeen (17) great grand children. A memorial service will be held at 7pm on March 5 at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Kent WA.

Henry along with his two (2) brothers John and Gus purchased Oak Harbor Transfer in 1936, subsequently purchased Oak Harbor Freight Lines in 1942 and kept that name. The company is now under the leadership of his sons, Ed and David Vander Pol. Henry was active in helping to start Seattle Christian School, active in helping to start and maintain Watson Groen Christian School (now Shoreline Christian School), and later in life an active member in the Gideon's International Ministry.

Henry leaves a legacy of caring, generosity and goodwill all stemming from his vibrant faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord.
