The Senate recently appointed two officials to one of transportation’s important safety agencies, The Telegraph reports. Christopher Hart and Tho “Bella” Dinh-Zarr were approved to join the National Transportation Safety Board as chairman and member, respectively. The Safety Board is a key organization for ensuring the safety of our nation’s transportation systems. According to the article, the Board “investigates the accidents across all modes of transportation, determines the causes and makes safety recommendations.” The Board was recently involved in the investigations of train/vehicle collisions in New York and California, the oil tanker explosion in West Virginia and more.
