2011 Regional Meetings

NASSTRAC Comes To Nashville, Tennesee

As part of its outreach to shippers in various metro markets throughout the country, NASSTRAC hosted a regional meeting Nov. 1 in Nashville, Tenn. The event attracted nearly 50 transportation executives, many of whom are decision-makers with manufacturers, retailers, and distributors. They represented LP Corporation, Kirkland's, Genesco Inc., Bath Fitter, Ruby Tuesday Inc., Bake Crafters Food Co., and Regal Beloit Corp., to name a few. Thanks to our supporting members at the corporate offices of LifeWay Christian Resources for graciously hosting this event!

Brian Everett, NASSTRAC's Executive Director, facilitated dialogue among shippers concerned about advocacy issues such as potential changes to truck driver hours of service, truck size and weight limitations, and a lack of long-range planning and investment in U.S. roadways and bridges. Participants on the Shipper's Panel included Mike Harry, Chief Supply Chain Officer at LifeWay Christian Resources, Ric Chavez, Director of Corporate Logistics at LP Corp., and Bob Oda, Manager of Corporate Traffic with United Methodist Publishing House.
